Sarah Lampert | Writer

Sarah Lampert's first job in show business was as "umbrella girl" for a coupon cutting reality TV show. She stood in a Burbank parking lot holding an umbrella to shield the host from the hot sun between takes. It was when Sarah was working at a producer's office, that her boss recognized and believed in her talent and got her pilot script to Netflix.

That pilot script, "Ginny & Georgia", is Sarah's Breakthrough Project and about to enter its second season on Netlifx. The show is a coming-of-age series, following Ginny Miller, an intense fifteen-year-old who navigates her day to day with her high strung mother, Georgia, as they leave their past behind and move to a new town. She was paired with a showrunner who happens to be one of her heroes - Debra J. Fisher (Being Mary Jane, Criminal Minds) - and is having a hugely fun time making her vision come to life.

Sarah always knew she wanted to be a writer. As a child in Massachusetts she would perform plays with her cousins for the rest of the family. Sarah hopes to one day write a romantic comedy for younger audiences that becomes an instant classic like the movies she grew up with. As a BAFTA Breakthrough Sarah is hoping to engage with television producers and showrunners  who can offer their support and feedback on her current and future projects.
