We are BAFTA Scotland – the Scottish home of world famous independent arts charity BAFTA. We support careers, champion creativity, and celebrate the exceptional storytelling emerging from the country’s thriving film, games and TV industry.
What does BAFTA Scotland do?
BAFTA Scotland sits at the heart of the country’s screen industries. From our home in Glasgow, we create spaces for the extraordinary creative minds within Scottish film, games and TV to connect and grow. Our goal is to shine a light on the continued breadth and success of our local industry on a global scale.
We do all this through an exciting programme of activity including:
- Hosting the annual BAFTA Scotland Awards
- Facilitating a comprehensive range of screenings, educational events and masterclasses for our members
- Staging a yearly Guru Live Glasgow event – where emerging talent are inspired by masterclasses and panels with industry professionals
- Working alongside Young BAFTA to bring skills workshops to school children across Scotland
- Distribution of bursaries to Scotland-based practitioners
- Regular networking
