Welcome to BAFTA Connect, a special tier of UK-wide and North America membership for those who are early on in their screen arts career.

What is BAFTA Connect Membership?

Connect membership is part of BAFTA’s charitable mission to support future creative leaders in the film, games and television industries.

A discounted membership that can be renewed for up to three years, it is designed to champion and inspire the next generation of creative talent.

Who can become a BAFTA Connect Member?

You can apply if you are currently working in the film, games and television industries at either an emerging or mid-level in your field, and you:

are based in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland or North America
display a promising career trajectory and the beginnings of a recognised body of work
are an advocate for creative talent and storytelling
show a commitment to inclusion and progressive industry practice

We are particularly interested in applications from people who are working in games; in groups or communities currently underrepresented in the film, games and television industries; and those based in the North West of England, Wales, Scotland or North America.

We are not currently accepting applications for BAFTA Connect. Register your interest in applying for BAFTA Connect membership.
No, if you are selected, you can remain a member for up to three years, renewing in June each year.
BAFTA has always believed in being open about what data we collect from our members and what we do with it. Find out more in our membership privacy policy.
Connect is a discounted BAFTA membership priced at £120.00 per year (for members living and working within 60-miles – as the crow flies – of BAFTA 195 Piccadilly) or £80.00 per year (for members living and working more than 60-miles from BAFTA 195 Piccadilly in England and in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland).

Annual fees for those based in North America are $175.

Note: These fees are for the 2024/2025 membership year.
Connect membership is designed to offer up to three years of programming, networking, and a wide range of benefits.

After three years as a Connect member, we would encourage you to apply for full voting membership.
No. We very much hope you will see the benefits of renewing each year, but if you do want to leave BAFTA Connect then you can do that at each annual renewal point.
The BAFTA Connect membership is not a technical training course or a project lab, and it is not designed for one specific craft.

The membership is designed to provide a community of creatives at a similar level opportunities for peer-to-peer networking, collaboration, support, as well as insight from BAFTA’s network of global practitioners to their expert knowledge and creative solutions.
We encourage successful applicants to refer to themselves as BAFTA Connect members.
