Sian Harries

Sian is a well-established comedy writer and performer, who writes for both television and radio. Her short film, NeckFace, which starred an array of British comedy talent, was nominated for a BAFTA Cymru award in 2018. She was also chosen as a Ones to Watch delegate at the Edinburgh TV Festival in 2021. 

Sian co-wrote both Greg Davies’s Man Down (Avalon/Channel 4) and Tourist Trap (BBC One Wales/BBC), starring Sally Phillips. She also co-writes and stars in her own sketch show, O’r Diwedd (S4C), and co-wrote and performed in the Radio Academy award-winning sketch show Here Be Dragons (BBC Radio Wales).  

She is the co-host of The Froth Podcast with Rhod Gilbert and has written for Never Mind the Buzzcocks (BBC) and The News Quiz (BBC Radio 4). Sian has also created BBC radio documentaries, such as The Welsh Women of Patagonia and Wales for Women (Whistledown Productions). 

She is currently writing a sitcom for Objective Media and is working as a script consultant for a brand-new BBC crime drama series.
