Sarah-Louise Davila is awarded the BAFTA Scholarship to support her continued study of Sound Design for Film and Television MA at the National Film and Television School. Born and raised in South-East London, Sarah-Louise comes from a low-income background and is of Jamaican and Tenerifian descent. She graduated from Kingston University in 2020 after studying a degree in Filmmaking, and has worked freelance in sound and as a post-production runner at Boom Post Ltd.

Sarah-Louise has been passionate about the film industry from a young age, engaging in several short film courses with the BFI, Southbank, MET Film School and others. She discovered her love for sound whilst studying her BA degree and decided to pursue further studies in sound design.

Her work is inspired by themes of community and humanity, harnessing these concepts in her approach to sound design and the listening experience.
