Today, BAFTA announces it has awarded £152,000 in scholarships to 22 creative students across the US and the UK to support their studies in the screen arts.
This year, scholarships of up to £12,000 each, totalling £73,000, have been made available to 9 emerging UK creatives studying Broadcast Journalism, Games Art, Acting, Hair & Make-Up or Sound at universities including LAMDA, the National Film and Television School, the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Cardiff University. The funds will go towards tuitions fees and living costs.
$102,500 (£79,000) is granted to 13 US scholars studying Film and Television Production, Screenwriting and Animation at universities including University of California, Los Angeles, New York University and Chapman University. The scholarships will go towards tuition fees and living costs.

- Chrystal Holder, BAFTA Prince William Scholarship for a Diploma in Production Management for Film and Television at the National Film and Television School
- Dylan Marshall, BAFTA Prince William Scholarship for an Fda/BA in Games Art at the Warwickshire College Group
- Ellie Lewis, BAFTA Prince William Scholarship for an Intensive Hair & Make-Up Course at the Christine Blundell Make Up Academy
- Livie Dalee, BAFTA Thompson Family Scholarship for an Acting BA at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland
- Max Solomon, BAFTA Scholarship for an MA Sound & Music for Interactive Games at Leeds Beckett University
- Rahab McQueen, BAFTA Reuben Scholarship for a Diploma in Model Making for Animation at the National Film and Television School
- Roisin Clear, BAFTA Reuben Scholarship for a degree in Broadcast Journalism at City University
- Tom Hawkins, BAFTA Tinopolis Scholarship for a degree in Broadcast Journalism at Cardiff University

- George Lanigan, Pigott/BAFTA Scholarship for a Screenwriting MFA at the University of California, Los Angeles
- Izabel Acevedo, DLT Entertainment Scholarship for a Film MFA at the City College of New York
- Marc Palomo, BAFTA Bridge Scholarship for a degree in Film & Television Production at the University of Southern California
- Oliver McGoldrick, Pigott/BAFTA Scholarship for the Graduate Film Program (MFA) at New York University
- Raha Amirfazli, BAFTA Ben Jorgensen Scholarship for the Graduate Film Program (MFA) at New York University
- Rebs Fisher-Jackson, Fulbright-BAFTA Scholarship for a Screenwriting MFA at the University of California, Los Angeles
- Sahar Ghorishi, Pigott/BAFTA Scholarship for a Film Production MFA at Chapman University
- Vankshita Mishra, Pigott/BAFTA Scholarship for an MFA in Film Production at the University of Southern California
- Walt Mzengi, Jeff Hunter Memorial Scholarship for the Graduate Film Program (MFA) at New York University

- Tina Micklethwait, supporting the BAFTA Ben Jorgensen scholarship dedicated to her son, Ben Alexander Jorgensen who was born in London and raised in New York from the age of seven. Ben’s work as a filmmaker included documentaries, music videos, TV programs and PSAs. Ben was also a well-known actor in films and soaps. Modest about his own accomplishments, Ben was full of praise and admiration for his friends and colleagues. The BAFTA Ben Jorgensen Scholarship will keep his kindness and generosity alive.
- Tinopolis, supporting the BAFTA Tinopolis Scholar, from Wales. Tinopolis are the owners of production companies including Sunset+ Vine, Firecracker and Mentorn.
