Venue & Technical Manager

BAFTA is seeking a new Venue & Technical Manager to join their busy team

BAFTA is a world-leading independent arts charity focused on championing creativity, opportunity and social change for all through the transformative power of film, games and television

With headquarters in London and additional offices in the UK and North America we are looking for a talented venue manager with a strong technical background to help us deliver our ambitious plans for the future.

BAFTA 195 Piccadilly (our headquarters) has recently undergone a £33 million refurbishment, which includes £3 million of technical equipment and 4 floors of spaces, housing the BAFTA Members Club, 2 theatres and numerous spaces for BAFTA’s learning programmes and commercial hire.

Alongside this BAFTA has a main working office in London spread over 2 floors and satellite offices in Scotland, Wales and Los Angeles


Job Purpose

The Venue & Technical Manager is responsible for managing all operational aspects of BAFTA 195 Piccadilly relating to the smooth running of the technical and maintance of the building. 


Ideally you will have

Experience of managing a technical team within AV or live entertainment alongside a strong understanding of managing the varied demands of a Grade 11 listed building and offices.

Venue and facilities management experience – including holding responsibility for all the technology housed within it (including but not limited to the AV and a BMS systems, control lighting and QSC integrated sound), alongside managing outsourced contracts and budget setting, controls and management.

Experience of setting contractors KPI’s and annual budgets
