A British actor, who worked with Ken Loach on multiple occasions, including the writer-director’s first television play, Catherine (1964). He followed this with 3 Clear Sundays, A Tap on the Shoulder and Up the Junction, all part of the BBC’s Wednesday Play series in 1965, and the film Poor Cow (1967). Selby worked regularly throughout the following decades, mostly on British television, appearing in Ace of Wands (1970-1971), Get Some In! (1975-1978), Doctor Who (1986-1987) and Love Hurts (1992-1994), among many others.
