Mark Thomas

A British composer, who scored many films and television series across a career spanning more than 40 years and 100 screen credits. Born in Swansea, Mark Thomas won a BAFTA Cymru award for the film Twin Town (1997), and was nominated a further eight times for Chwedl Nadolig (1990), Un nos ola’ leuad (1991), Y Mapiwr (1995), Cameleon (1997), The Testimony Of Taliesin Jones (2000), Treflan (2002), Dan Y Wenallt (2014) and Last Summer (2018). In 2011, he was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy for the theme to Episodes (2011-2017). Notable film credits included Dog Soldiers (2002), Agent Cody Banks II: Destination London (2004), The Magic Roundabout: The Movie, Shadows in the Sun, The Adventures of Greyfriars Bobby (all 2005), Hot Tamale, Wilderness (both 2006), Tales of the Riverbank (2008) and Zoo (2017). For television, his credits included Raging Planet (1997), A Mind to Kill (1994-2002), Dalziel and Pascoe (2002-2005), Hyperdrive (2006-2007), Shaun the Sheep (2007-2014), Ladies of Letters (2009-2010), Stella (2012-2017) and Benidorm (2007-2018), among many more.
