A British actor, who was best known for his role as Chief Inspector Derek Conway in The Bill, a regular in the police drama who featured in more than 450 episodes (1987-2002). Other television credits included Angels (1980), Hard Cases (1988) and Tales of Sherwood Forest (1989). On the big screen, Roberts featured in Another Year (2010), Jane Eyre (2011), A Little Chaos (2014) and Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (2016).
