A British editor who also directed for the stage, Strachan’s film career spanned 35 years from first editing The Human Factor (1975). His most notable credits included the cult classic Withnail & I (1987), the Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me (1977), Saving Grace (2000) and Waking Ned (1998).
