Gina Lyons

Gina Lyons is an award-winning scripted producer, whose credits include producing the pilot of In My Skin (2018), which won a BAFTA Cymru award, and the BBC3 pilot for Dreaming Whilst Black (2021), which was nominated for an International Emmy in 2022.

She also associate produced season three of Sky/FX’s hit dramedy Breeders (2022) for Avalon. Then, landed her first series producer role, taking Dinner with the Parents (the US remake of Friday Night Dinner) from development to the edit of all 10 episodes, with Big Talk Productions for CBS/Amazon Freevee.

Gina launched her own production company, Gobby Girl Productions, in 2024, with a development slate of television shows from mostly unrepresented writers. As a working-class girl herself, who had lunch vouchers at school, Gina is passionate about telling stories from diverse voices and championing new talent on and off-screen. Among the company’s first fruits are the production of a comedy feature film entitled Go Away!, starring Michael Socha, Ella Bruccoleri and Hugh Bonneville, and a sitcom commission with ITV.

She is currently in development on two comedy feature films, one of which is with Rude Guests (written and directed by Ed Kear and Cringo Williamson), which has an A-list actor attached. Previously, Gina produced several short films that were selected to play at such film festivals as Encounters, Rhode Island and Raindance.

In 2023, Gina was named as one of Film London’s Lodestars, which honours the bright futures of innovative filmmakers, creatives and craft practitioners from across the UK’s capital.
