When the founder of the winery, more than 130 years ago, discovered that his favourite bottles were going missing from his cellar, he spread the rumour that it was inhabited by the devil. From that day, the wine has been known as Casillero del Diablo, and the thieves remain deterred. Today it is one of the world’s leading wine brands, globally recognized and loved.
