BAFTA Television Nominations Announced: Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards & British Academy Television Craft Awards

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced the nominations for the Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards and British Academy Television Craft Awards. These awards reward the very best in television craft and television programmes broadcast in the UK in 2020. The Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards ceremony takes place on Sunday 6 June on BBC One and BBC One HD, and the British Academy Television Craft Awards will be streamed on BAFTA’s social channels on Monday 24 May.

The highlights from today’s nominations are:

  • 15 nominations for Small Axe
  • 10 nominations for The Crown
  • Eight nominations for I May Destroy You
  • Seven nominations for Normal People
  • Six nominations for Sex Education
  • Five nominations for Adult Material and I Hate Suzie
  • Four nominations for This Country, Once Upon a Time in Iraq and Strictly Come Dancing

The nominations for the public-voted Virgin Media’s Must-See Moment are:

  • Bridgerton: Penelope Is revealed as Lady Whistledown
  • Britain’s Got Talent: Diversity perform a routine inspired by the events of 2020
  • EastEnders: Gray kills Chantelle
  • Gogglebox: Reactions to Boris Johnson’s press conference
  • Nigella’s Cook, Eat, Repeat: Mee-cro-wah-vay
  • The Mandalorian: Luke Skywalker arrives

Members of the public can now vote for their favourite Must-See Moment online at virginmedia.com/bafta and Virgin Media customers can also vote via their TiVo®, V6 or Virgin TV 360 box.
