BAFTA to host career retrospective with Richard E Grant

‘BAFTA A Life in Pictures: Richard E Grant’ to take place on Sunday 2 December

London, 14 November: The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has today announced that renowned actor Richard E Grant will discuss his 30-year acting career at a ‘BAFTA A Life in Pictures’ event at BAFTA’s London headquarters, 195 Piccadilly, on Sunday 2 December.

‘BAFTA A Life in Pictures’ is a long-running series of onstage interviews in which some of the film world’s leading talent share insights into the experiences that helped them hone and develop their craft. The series has previously hosted figures including Annette Bening, Kenneth Branagh, Cate Blanchett, Viola Davis, David Fincher, Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson, Sam Mendes, Helen Mirren, Alan Rickman, Vanessa Redgrave, Martin Scorsese, Kristin Scott Thomas, Meryl Streep, Kate Winslet and Jeremy Irons.

The Screen Actors Guild and Critics Choice award-winner Richard E Grant made his screen debut in 1987, in Bruce Robinson’s classic British comedy Withnail and I. The actor, writer, director, raconteur and entrepreneur has since had a long, distinguished and varied career achieving recognition in both Hollywood blockbusters and smaller independent films with titles including L.A. Story, The Age Of Innocence, the BAFTA-winning Gosford Park, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, How To Get Ahead in Advertising, Their Finest and The Player.

Richard E Grant recently played Dr Zander Rice in the critically acclaimed Marvel film Logan, can presently be seen in Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms and is currently shooting Star Wars: Episode IX. Grant’s next big screen appearance is as Jack Hock in biographical drama film Can You Ever Forgive Me?, starring alongside Melissa McCarthy.
