BAFTA Cymru Chair, Angharad Mair said;
“With film and production work created and made by Welsh talent reaching every part of the globe - celebrating, promoting and championing the hard work and creativity coming out of our country is more important than ever.
Over recent years, we’ve seen enormous growth in the creative sectors here in Wales and it’s also been incredible to see a rise in the number of Welsh locations and productions on screen globally and internationally.
The BAFTA Cymru Awards are here to celebrate excellence across the screen industries, and as Chair of BAFTA Cymru, I’m very proud and excited to see what excellent creative gems and moments this year’s Cymru Awards will bring. Congratulations to all the nominees and I look forward to celebrating with you during this special evening.”
For the 2023 edition, the ceremony will be held for the first time at the ICCW in Newport, with audiences at home about to follow the action as it unfolds on BAFTA’s YouTube.
