A British actor who was a contract star for British Lion in the 1950s, Britton starred in films such as The Birthday Present (1957) and Behind the Mask (1958). He later became better known for his television work including a BAFTA-nominated role in The Nearly Man (1975) and Robin’s Nest (1977-1981).
