A British television technical director, who almost exclusively worked for ITV over a career spanning four decades. Pearce started his career as an engineer at Grampian Television (now STV), serving the northern regions of the UK. He held several operational roles at other ITV regions, including working on ITV Sport, before moving to the latter full-time in 2001. As ITV Sports’ technical director, he was in charge of planning and managing the operational aspects of major sporting events for the channel, including the Champions League, Rugby World Cups, Formula 1 and eight football World Cups.
