An American actor, who had more than 120 roles across US television and feature films, including a handful of producing credits. He started in television in Another World (1978-1981), before landing two iconic movie roles: Shoeless Joe Jackson in Field of Dreams (1989) and Henry Hill in Goodfellas (1990). Other notable appearances included Unlawful Entry (1992), Unforgettable (1996), Cop Land (1997), Hannibal, Blow (both 2001), Narc (2002), Killing Them Softly, The Place Beyond the Pines (both 2012), Marriage Story (2019) and, most recently, The Many Saints of Newark (2021). He won an Emmy in 2005 for a memorable guest appearance on ER (2004).
