Patrick Clayton

A British assistant director (AD), who worked predominantly in film over a career spanning six decades. Patrick Clayton’s work as third and second AD went mostly uncredited, including on the likes of Oliver! and Where Eagles Dare (both 1968), with his first named credit coming with his 17th film, The Syndicate (1968). From then onwards his credits as first AD or AD included such highlights as Twins of Evil (1971), Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior (1981), Gorillas in the Mist (1988), Shadowlands (1993), Interview with the Vampire (1994), Michael Collins (1996), Event Horizon (1997), The End of the Affair (1999) and City of Ember (2008). He occasionally worked as a production manager, including credits on Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines (1965), The Keep (1983) and 1492: Conquest of Paradise (1992).
