A British producer whose early career saw her produce the likes of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe (1967), Lonsdale was best known for creating the long-running children’s show Rainbow (1972-1992) and she also produced the first nine series. She went on to produce many fondly remembered children’s shows including Shadows (1975-1978).
