An American film and television producer, De Laurentiis, née Martha Schumacher, was one half of the married production duo that set up the Dino De Laurentiis Company in 1980. Her first associate producer credit was on 1984’s Firestarter, a Stephen King work she was helping to adapt again for a 2022 release. Other notable credits included the Hannibal Lecter franchise – Hannibal (2001), Red Dragon (2002), Hannibal Rising (2007) and the Hannibal television series (2013-2015) – as well as Raw Deal (1986), U-571 (2000) and The Last Legion (2007).
