An Indian producer and presenter who began his broadcasting career in India, Kaul then moved to America where he assisted Richard Nixon with his India-related speeches. He joined the BBC in 1961 where he became the face of their Asian Programmes Unit for over 20 years, and was best known for the series Nai Zindagi: Naya Jeevan (1968-1982).
