Character actor Warden's breakthrough role as Juror No 7 in Twelve Angry Men (1957) led to a prolific career in both film and television. He was BAFTA-nominated for his supporting role in Shampoo (1975) and won an Emmy for his role as a Chicago Bears coach in Brian's Song (1969).
