An American musician and actor, Campbell was best known for his songs including Rhinestone Cowboy and Southern Nights. His music regularly featured on the big and small screen, but he also notably starred as La Boeuf in True Grit (1969) and had his own TV show, The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour (1969-1972).
