Geoff Feld

A British camera supervisor and director, who spent his working life at the BBC. Geoff Feld started as a BBC trainee in 1958 before working his way up the ranks to becoming a senior camera supervisor and director. He was BAFTA nominated four times, for Testament of Youth and Suez 1956 (1979), The Cherry Orchard (1981), The Barchester Chronicles (1982) and Bluebell (1986), and won one in 1981 for his camera work across the feature length The Merchant of Venice, BBC2 Playhouse’s Fatal Spring and mini-series We, The Accused (all 1980). Elsewhere, he worked on World’s End (1981), The Bob Monkhouse Show (1983), By the Sword Divided (1983-1985) and Top of the Pops (1981-1990), among many more. As director, his credits included Jackanory (1977-1978), Eldorado (1992-1993), Grange Hill (1999-2000), Family Affairs (2002) and more than 80 episodes of EastEnders (1991-2002).
