Douglas McGrath

An American writer, director and actor, who was BAFTA and Oscar-nominated for his script with Woody Allen for Bullets Over Broadway (1994). McGrath started his screen career in the writing room for Saturday Night Live (1980-1981), before penning the feature films Born Yesterday (1993), Emma (1996), Company Man (2000), Nickolas Nickleby (2002) and Infamous (2006). He directed all but Born Yesterday. He was also Emmy-nominated for directing the documentary Becoming Mike Nichols (2016). On the acting front, he had roles in Quiz Show (1994), Happiness (1998), The Insider (1999), Small Time Crooks (2000), Michael Clayton (2007) and HBO’s Girls (2015-2016).
