A South African actress and model, who had a recurring role in US television superhero series Black Lightning (2018) as the character Syonide. Dean made her acting debut in South African film Spud (2010), followed by its sequel (2013), then landed roles in Blood in the Water (2016), Don’t Sleep (2017) and An Interview with God (2018). Her last role was in Ruben Östlund’s Palme D’Or winning film Triangle of Sadness (2022).
