Brian Blamey

Sound Editor, Foley Artist

A British sound editor and foley artist – as well as a dialogue editor and dubbing editor – who worked on an array of films and television in a 40-year strong career. The Edgar Wallace Mystery Theatre (1961-1965), Minder (1982) and Lady Chatterley (1993) were the most notable of his UK television credits. In cinema, Blamey worked in various sound capacities on such films as A Clockwork Orange (1973), for which he was nominated for a BAFTA in the Soundtrack category, A Touch of Class (1973), Heat and Dust (1983), Out of Africa (1985), The Remains of the Day (1993), A Feast at Midnight (1994), An Awfully Big Adventure (1995), Emma (1996) and Fierce Creatures (1997).
