An Irish educator, who set up the Anna Scher Theatre in 1968 in north London, a performing arts school with a focus on teaching drama to anyone, no matter their background. Former students include Zawe Ashton, Kathy Burke, Natalie Cassidy, Phil Daniels, Dexter Fletcher, Naomi Harris, Daniel Kaluuya, Patsy Palmer, Pauline Quirke, Linda Robson, Susan Tully, Reggie Yates and many more. She was appointed MBE in 2013.
