Scotland’s Screen Talent to attend the 2025 BAFTA Scotland Awards

BAFTA announces today the details of the nominees and guest presenters who will be attending the BAFTA Scotland Awards on Sunday 16 November at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central.  

Confirmed to present at the Awards are (in alphabetical order): Alan Cumming (The Traitors US, The Good Wife), Banjo Beale (Designing the Hebrides, Scotland’s Home of the Year), Chloe Pirrie (Dept. Q, Under the Banner of Heaven), David Tennant (Rivals, Doctor Who), Denis Lawson (Local Hero, New Tricks, Emma Laird (The Brutalist, Mayor of Kingstown), Hannah Jarrett-Scott (Outlander, Float) Harriet Slater (Pennyworth, Outlander: Blood of my Blood), James Harkness (A Thousand Blows, The Bombing of Pan Am 103), James McAvoy (Speak No Evil, Split), Jamie Roy (Outlander: Blood of my Blood), Jean Johansson (A Place in the Sun), Jessica Hardwick (Gifted, Float), Jo Street (director of commissioning, nations and regions, head of lifestyle, Channel 4), Lauren Lyle (Karen Pirie, The Ridge), Lewis Gribben (Somewhere Boy, Black Mirror), Peter Mullan (I Swear, After The Party), Robert Aramayo (I Swear, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), Samuel Bottomley (California Schemin, How to Have Sex), Saskia Ashdown (Karen Pirie, Washington Black), Shauna Macdonald (The Descent, The Scotts), Sheli McCoy (Gladiators), Sinead MacInnes (An T-Eilean, Outlander), and Sorcha Groundsell (An t-Eilean, The Innocents).  

On-screen nominees confirmed to attend are: Anna Próchniak (The Tattooist of Auschwitz), Armando Iannucci (imagine… The Academy of Armando), Catherine McCormack (Lockerbie: A Search for Truth), Gary Lamont (Rivals), Izuka Hoyle (Big Boys), James McArdle (Four Mothers), Kiran Sonia Sawar (Slow Horses), Richard Rankin (Rebus), and Ruaridh Mollica (Sebastian), plus more behind the camera talent and guests.  

Outstanding Contribution recipients, Ewan McGregor and the team at IWC Media, including Location, Location, Location presenter Phil Spencer will also be in attendance to accept their honours.

Edith Bowman will host the BAFTA Scotland Awards at DoubleTree by Hilton Glasgow Central on Sunday 16 November alongside red carpet and backstage host Sanjeev Kohli. Winners’ speeches will be uploaded to the BAFTA YouTube channel in the days following the ceremony, with a highlights programme to be broadcast on Wednesday 19 November on BBC Scotland at 9pm and BBC One Scotland at 11:30pm.
