The British Academy Cymru Awards in 2013 celebrated the achievements of the creative industries in Wales, in a glittering ceremony held at the Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay. Hosted by television presenter Matt Johnson and news presenter Sian Lloyd, the evening saw 26 programmes, crafts and performance category winners announced.

Ruth Jones took home the award for Writer for her work on Stella, which also won Television Drama award and the award for Editing, presented to Sara Parry Jones.

Michael Sheen took home the Actor award for his role in The Gospel of Us and the event also acknowledged achievements in the film industry, as John Giwa-Amu received the Special Acheivement Award for Film, for British science fiction thriller The Machine.
