Finding success in her teens singing on radio, Woods skirted the fringes of the film business in early adulthood before achieving screen immortality by voicing the role of Cinderella in Disney’s 1959 animated hit. There followed guest appearances on popular American variety shows before her retirement from showbusiness in 1963.
