During a long, distinguished career, jazzman Dankworth worked closely with vocalist wife Cleo Laine. This ultimately brought him to wider attention, as he wrote scores for films such as Saturday Night and Sunday Morning (1960), The Servant (1963), Darling (1965), Accident (1967) and television series such as The Avengers (1961-64).
