Former model Allen acted on stage and screen, and was twice Emmy-nominated for her theatre work. Film roles came in the likes of Donovan's Reef (1963), Cheyenne Autumn (1964) and The Carey Treatment (1972), with TV appearances including memorable episodes of The Twilight Zone and The Man From UNCLE.
