An Irish producer, who co-founded Metropolitan Films with his wife and who was a former deputy CEO of the Irish Film Board (now Screen Ireland, 1993-1997). James Flynn’s screen career started as head of development at John Boorman’s Merlin Films, before he set up his own production company in 1997. Among his many credits as producer, co-producer or executive producer were the films Angela’s Ashes (1999), H3 (2001), Reign of Fire (2002), Tristan + Isolde (2006), Becoming Jane (2007), P.S. I Love You (2007), The Secret of Kells (2009), Calvary (2013), The Last Duel (2021) and The Banshees of Inisherin (2022). His television credits included The Tudors (2007-2010), The Borgias (2011-2013), Penny Dreadful (2014-2016), Vikings (2013-2020) and Kin (2021).
