An American actor, who came to prominence as Sonny Corleone in The Godfather (1972), although he made his screen debut more than a decade before. Numerous memorable leading and supporting roles followed, in such acclaimed films as Freebie and the Bean (1974), Rollerball (1975), Thief (1981), Alien Nation (1988), Misery (1990), Honeymoon in Vegas (1992), Eraser (1996), Mickey Blue Eyes (1999), Elf (2003) and Queen Bees (2021). Although more of a film star, he was not shy about appearing on television in such series as Las Vegas (2003-2007) and Back in the Game (2013-2014).
