Charitable gifts play a pivotal role in helping us support and promote the next generation of talent and break down the barriers that make it hard for talented individuals to build careers in the creative industries.

Below are just some of our learning and talent development programmes.

• Work in schools in the UK and US: UK wide schools workshops developing creativity, confidence and resilience. In the US we work in high schools and community centres engaging under served students and career starters in LA and New York
• Young Game Designers: a UK wide competition for 10-18 year olds to develop game ideas/prototypes, with access to top games industry professionals
• BAFTA scholarships in the UK and US: we fund students in need of financial assistance to study courses in film, games or television
• Prince William BAFTA Bursary Fund: we give direct grants to assist career starters to progress their career in film, television or games
• BAFTA Rocliffe new writing competition: a platform for aspiring screenwriters in film and TV to showcase their work to the industry
• BAFTA Guru Live: three annual festivals (London, Glasgow and Cardiff) for career starters with masterclasses, workshops and panel discussions
• BAFTA Connect in UK and US: global discounted BAFTA membership for emerging/mid level creatives including peer to peer networking
• BAFTA Breakthrough UK/US/India: we identify exciting new talent and offer bespoke support at their ‘breakthrough’ career moment
• BAFTA Elevate: we support people from under represented groups to develop their careers via a bespoke mentoring and events programme
