Named in honour of one of cinema’s greatest storytellers, the Richard Attenborough Rooms is an exclusive retreat perched at the top of BAFTA’s HQ, offering a sophisticated setting for canapé receptions like no other. Reserved for members and available only on select evenings throughout the year, this intimate, lounge-style space is steeped in cinematic heritage and charm. Original 19th-century roof lights bathe the room in a soft, natural glow, while sliding doors lead to a private terrace overlooking St James’s Church, designed by Sir Christopher Wren, and its lush gardens.
The rooms are furnished with comfortable seating, creating a relaxed, informal environment perfect for mingling and conversation, while the historical charm of the space ensures every reception feels exclusive and memorable. As a members’ space, these rooms offer an unparalleled sense of privacy and luxury, making every canapé reception feel like a VIP event, set against the backdrop of London’s storied skyline.
