BAFTA’s year of support in numbers

Posted: 18 Dec 2025

Championing talent, helping lay the foundations for industry change and recognising exceptional storytelling is at the heart of what BAFTA does. As a charity we are proud to support and celebrate our thriving community of film, games and TV professionals, and we hope you are too.

So, join us as we look back on just some of our 2025 successes from another year of supporting and celebrating creative talent…

14,000+

Reaching 14,000+ members this year, including a record 350 new voting games members, our community of exceptional professionals working in film games and tv is continuing to grow from strength to strength. This also includes meeting membership diversity targets which we monitor to ensure our membership is diverse, inclusive and reflects the breadth of talent and experiences of those working in these industries today.

£277,000

86 emerging creatives’ careers got a boost as they shared in £277,000 of BAFTA scholarships and bursaries that were awarded in 2025. These scholarships and bursaries are a win for us all as they help the next generation, who are facing financial barriers, to break through and progress.

20 & 21

In Awards we celebrated two big birthday’s this year. The publicly voted for EE Rising Star Award, recognising outstanding big screen talent that have captured the attention of the public and film industry, officially turned 20. And our BAFTA Games Awards, celebrating creative excellence in video games and the people who make them turned 21.

342M

Our video content brought you closer to your favourite stars. From red carpet action to studio and set tours, and a whole host of exclusive interviews, our social content captured global audiences’ imagination with over 342 million video views across all BAFTA’s social channels in the last 12 months. Through social-first clips and longer-form YouTube content strands we’ve shared our love of the best films, games and tv with an ever-growing (and engaged) public audience. The most popular video of the year? David Tennant singing 500 Miles at the EE BAFTA Film Awards! Follow us on: Instagram

5 & 15

Landmark years were reached for two of BAFTA’s talent development programmes. BAFTA Elevate, supported by dunhill, welcomed its 5th cohort – this year made up of producers from underrepresented groups seeking to progress across documentary and specialist factual. And the Young Games Designers competition – giving 10–18-year-olds a chance to design, develop and present new game ideas to the world, turned 15. Want to find out more? Why not give the 2025 finalists’ games a go.

1,100+

More than 1,100 audience members were inspired to get excited about sustainability by the BAFTA albert Green Light series. This explored sustainability in film, games and TV from all angles across this new programme of events. What did it teach us? To keep climate storytelling and sustainable production practices front of mind in every pitch and every commissioning decision.
