Best known for her role opposite Kevin McCarthy in the sci-fi classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956), Wynter was more typically cast as demure English heroines. Other films include D: Day The Sixth of June (1956), Sink The Bismarck! (1960), The List of Adrian Messenger (1963) and Airport (1970).
