A British actor best known for his role in the sitcom It Ain’t Half Hot Mum (1974-1981), Davies’ pompous Sergeant Major Williams was notorious for bellowing “Shut up!” at his men. He also notably voiced Sergeant Major Zero in Terrahawks (1983-1986), and starred in the likes of Never The Twain (1981-1991) and the New Statesman (1985).
