After war service, Vogel remained in France, writing songs for popular singers of the day. He later provided English subtitles for major international movies – such as The Seventh Seal (1957) – which led to the formation of Vogel Films. His original screenplays include Carmen, Baby (1967) and Therese and Isabelle (1968).
