A popular comedy actor in his native Italy, Vianello worked in film but was best known for his television work with sketch shows such as Un, Due, Tre (1954-59) and sitcoms including Casa Vianello (1988-2008). The football themed chat show Pressing (1991-1999) was among the many other programmes he presented.
