Director, Producer and Screenwriter

An American filmmaker acclaimed for documentary shorts Muscle Beach (1949) and Interviews With My Lai Veterans (1970), Strick is best known for his adaptation of James Joyce’s supposedly unfilmable novel Ulysses (1967). Other films include Tropic of Cancer (1970) and A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man (1977).
