An unlikely television icon as Nora Batty in the sitcom Last of the Summer Wine (1973-2008), Staff also enjoyed recurring roles in popular ITV series Coronation Street (1973-75), Emmerdale Farm (1975) and Crossroads (1978-85). Film appearances came in A Kind of Loving (1962), The Dresser (1983) and Little Dorrit (1988).
