As a movie publicist Seltzer is credited with helping steer Marty (1955) to Oscar glory. When he later moved into production he enjoyed further success as producer for his friend Charlton Heston on The War Lord (1965), Will Penny (1968), The Omega Man (1971) and Soylent Green (1973) among others.
