Possessing a lifelong fascination with character make-up and special effects, Ross began his career in earnest under Rick Baker on An American Werewolf In London (1981). He continued to contribute to movies including Greystoke: The Legend Of Tarzan, Lord Of the Apes (1984), Event Horizon (1997) and Pearl Harbor (2001).
