Best-known for co-writing The Harder They Come (1972) with Perry Henzell, Rhone was a highly regarded playwright in his native Jamaica. He studied acting in London but would forge his reputation at home writing for the stage and penning - among other things - the screenplay for Milk And Honey (1988).
