With his screen debut in The Client (1994) coming before he had reached his teens, Renfro demonstrated a potential that his premature death has ensured will never be fulfilled. Other strong performances came in films such as Sleepers (1996), Telling Lies In America (1997), Apt Pupil (1998) and Bully (2001).
